Job Title: Technical Lead, People Systems (SAP SuccessFactors)

Location: Seksyen 13, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia

Working mode: 100% WFO

Salary budget: Open to market rate

Role Mission

Drive the technical execution, integration, and optimisation of StarHub's People Systems to deliver secure, scalable, and data-driven HR technology that enables a modern, high-performing workforce.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead as the key technical expert shaping the roadmap, architecture, and configuration of People Systems.
  • Lead SAP SuccessFactors design, enhancement, and integration across the employee lifecycle.
  • Ensure secure, compliant, and reliable HR technology operations.
  • Partner with HR, Technology, and vendors to deliver scalable HR digital solutions.
  • Enable automation, self-service, and data-driven HR decision-making.

Responsibilities

Technical Design & Configuration

  • Lead solution architecture and technical configuration for SAP SuccessFactors and related HR platforms.
  • Oversee end-to-end technical design for modules (Employee Central, Compensation, Recruitment, Learning).
  • Guide development of system enhancements, workflows, rules, and reporting capabilities.
  • Design and maintain end-to-end HCM workflows across the hire-to-retire lifecycle.

Integration Management

  • Ensure robust integrations with payroll, finance, IAM, time/attendance, and productivity systems.
  • Oversee middleware and API-based integrations (e.g., SAP CPI, Workato).

Stakeholder & Compliance

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, vendors, and SMEs to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and data privacy policies.
  • Act as L3 escalation for production issues; drive root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Lead change management activities including documentation, release planning, and impact assessments.

Ideal Track Record (Required Qualifications)

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, HR Technology, or related field. Master's is a plus.
  • Experience: 7–10+ years in HRIS or People Systems with strong hands-on expertise in SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Module Expertise: Proven experience configuring and supporting Employee Central, Compensation, Recruitment, and Learning.
  • Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR processes across the hire-to-retire lifecycle.
  • Integration Skills: Experience with system integrations using SAP CPI, APIs, middleware, and third-party HR/payroll platforms.
  • Compliance: Good knowledge of security, data privacy, compliance, and audit requirements for HR systems.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Support Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and L3 production support skills.
  • Soft Skills: Effective stakeholder, vendor, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Nice to Have: Workflow automation, self-service design, HR analytics/reporting tools experience.
  • Certifications (Preferred): SAP SuccessFactors, SAP CPI, or HR technology certifications.
