Job Description
The Security Planning Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and continuously improving physical security operations across all company facilities. The role ensures effective security manpower deployment, vendor performance management, compliance with security standards, risk mitigation, and the successful execution of security initiatives to protect company assets, employees, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Operations Planning & Manpower Management
- Plan and coordinate security manpower deployment across company facilities to ensure adequate security coverage and operational readiness. Monitor daily security attendance, deployment status, and manpower availability to identify coverage gaps and operational risks.
- Coordinate with security service providers to resolve absenteeism, manpower shortages, and deployment issues.
- Maintain accurate records of security manpower deployment, attendance, and site coverage.
- Support monthly manpower cost verification, billing validation, and security resource planning.
- Analyze manpower requirements and recommend improvements to enhance security effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Security Service Provider & Vendor Management
- Manage and monitor outsourced security service providers against agreed service levels, contractual requirements, and company security standards.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, identify service gaps, and monitor corrective action plans.
- Ensure security personnel maintain professional conduct, discipline, and compliance with company policies and security procedures.
- Support security vendor evaluation, contract renewal, manpower planning, and service improvement initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with vendors to ensure consistent security service delivery across all facilities.
- Physical Security Operations & Access Control Management
- Support the implementation and enforcement of physical security controls across company facilities.
- Manage security procedures relating to access management, visitor control, contractor management, key control, and restricted area access.
- Ensure security personnel comply with site security requirements, SOPs, emergency procedures, and reporting standards.
- Review effectiveness of physical security measures including guarding deployment, access control processes, perimeter protection, and site security arrangements.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen physical security controls and reduce operational risks.
- Security Risk Assessment, Audit & Compliance Management
- Conduct security audits, site assessments, and physical security risk assessments across company facilities.
- Evaluate security controls including guarding effectiveness, access management, perimeter protection, security procedures, and operational compliance.
- Identify security vulnerabilities, operational risks, and compliance gaps.
- Develop recommendations and mitigation plans to strengthen security controls.
- Monitor implementation and closure of corrective actions arising from audits and assessments.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies, SOPs, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Security Incident Management & Investigation Support
- Support investigations involving theft, loss prevention, fraud, misconduct, security breaches, and other security-related incidents.
- Collect, review, and analyse relevant information including incident reports, statements, records, and supporting evidence.
- Coordinate with Operations, HR, Legal, security vendors, and relevant authorities where required.
- Prepare investigation reports including incident details, findings, root causes, and recommended corrective actions.
- Track preventive and improvement actions to minimize recurrence of security incidents.
- Physical Security Planning & Project Implementation
- Support security planning for new facilities, relocation projects, business expansion, and operational changes.
- Develop physical security requirements covering security manpower, access control arrangements, barriers, fencing, lighting, security posts, and other physical security infrastructure.
- Coordinate with Operations, Facilities, Procurement, HR, and external vendors to implement security requirements.
- Support security improvement projects and operational enhancements to strengthen security capability.

- Security Reporting, Analysis & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare regular security reports covering manpower performance, incidents, audits, compliance status, vendor performance, security costs, and improvement initiatives.
- Analyse security trends and operational data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of security activities, investigations, audits, training, and improvement projects.
- Prepare management updates and recommendations to improve security effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, HR, Procurement, Legal, and other stakeholders on security-related matters.
- Other Duties
- Perform any other duties, projects, assignments, or responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time in support of business, operational, and security objectives.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Business Administration, Facilities Management, or related fields.
- Security certifications such as CPP, PSP, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Training in security operations, risk assessment, investigation, or emergency response is preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in corporate security, physical security operations, or security planning.
- Experience managing outsourced security service providers and manpower deployment.
- Experience managing multi-site security operations and security compliance.
- Experience in security audits, risk assessments, and mitigation planning.
- Experience supporting security investigations and incident reporting.
- Experience supporting physical security projects, site setup, relocation, or security improvements.
- Experience in logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, retail, or similar environments is an advantage.
