What You'll Do:
Accounts Payable (AP) Cycle
- Prepare and process the full AP cycle, from invoice verification to payment execution, subject to review and approval by the Financial Reporting Lead.
- Review and validate supporting documents submitted by each department before initiating payment processing.
- Ensure compliance with company approval policies and internal control requirements before submission for approval.
- Prepare vendor and staff payments (local and overseas) in banking platforms for approver's review and authorisation.
- Maintain accurate vendor master records and update payment terms in NetSuite.
- Monitor AP aging and escalate overdue items to the Finance team.
- Perform monthly AP reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with vendors promptly.
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Record expenses, invoices, staff claims, accruals and vendor transactions accurately and timely in NetSuite.
- Maintain proper documentation and electronic filing of invoices and other supporting schedules in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including AP schedules, accruals, balance sheet reconciliation and expense analysis.
- Support intercompany billing, recharges and reconciliations where required.
Group Financial Reporting & Audit Support
- Assist (and lead, in the case of some subsidiaries) in the preparation of monthly management reports and schedules for review by the management.
- Support the preparation of group and entity-level financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including notes and supporting schedules.
- Liaise with external auditors and support audit requests by preparing AP, expense, and balance sheet-related documentation.
- Assist in addressing audit queries and implementing audit recommendations where applicable
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Ensure all accounting and AP transactions comply with internal policies, approval matrices, and audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve AP, bookkeeping, and reporting processes for efficiency and control enhancement.
- Support implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and workflows, including NetSuite improvements.
Ad-hoc Support
- Provide support to the Finance team on ad-hoc reporting and finance-related projects.
- Liaise with the Finance team to ensure smooth coordination of accounting processes.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage).
- Audit experience and familiarity with IFRS are strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting group structures and multi-entity environments will be an advantage.
- Experience in preparing or supporting the drafting of financial statements and audit schedules.
- Minimum 46 years of relevant working experience, preferably covering accounts payable, full set bookkeeping, and audit exposure.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems (experience in Oracle NetSuite will be an advantage).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organised, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple departments across locations.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to take on additional responsibilities beyond the core job scope when required.
