Job Responsibilities:
Fixed Asset Management
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) monthly with additions, disposals, and transfers, ensuring proper classification, capitalization, and tracking of all assets.
- Calculate and record monthly depreciation, reviewing useful lives and ensuring compliance with company policy and accounting standards.
- Reconcile Capital Work-In-Progress (CWIP) and assist with asset tagging.
- Participate in physical asset counts, validating asset existence, condition, and location; support follow-up investigations.
Inventory Management
- Reconcile physical stock counts against system data.
- Review inventory valuation, scrap, and provisions for obsolescence.
- Supervise the posting of inventory journals and variance analyses.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Execute end-to-end month-end and year-end closing processes for relevant modules.
- Prepare and Reconcile Balance Sheet schedules and tax allowance schedules.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests, providing documentation, explanations, and reconciliation support.
- Develop and enhance accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform ad hoc task and any additional responsibilities assigned by Management.
Job Requirements :
- Typically 3-5 years in full-set accounting or specialized asset/inventory management, preferably within manufacturing or FMCG related industries.
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and fixed asset/inventory lifecycle management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous with details and good timekeeper.
- Demonstrate high level commitment, and ability to work under tight deadline.
- Must willing to be based in Pulau Indah, Klang.
