About this Position As a Senior Application Engineer, you will lead and provide engineering support to assigned key account Semiconductor customers. You will share knowledge and expertise on Henkel's semiconductor materials product lines, both commercial and developmental materials. The role ensures you deliver high-quality field customer support and some lab work that will contribute directly to regional business growth. You will be part of sustainability initiatives and will have close collaboration with R&D, Sales, Marketing and global stakeholders.
What You´ll Do
- Lead and manage customer application tests and assembly operations, supporting adhesives used in semiconductor, component assembly, and electronic devices.
- Provide technical insights for formulation evaluation, application testing, method development, and product qualification aligned with global standards.
- Act as a key technical interface to support customer and internal sales teams, ensuring work translates into customer value and business outcomes.
- Strategize customer support in terms of projects, business and relationships.
- Good presentation skills, ability to manage discussions with customers and internal.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Covering regional customers providing seamless support internally and externally.
- Expertise in material knowledge and application particularly DAF and High Thermal material (pressurelss sintering and pressure assist sintering)
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Electronics, or related disciplines.
- 5-10 years of experience in semiconductor engineering, or R&D environments (will be advantage)
- Strong technical expertise in adhesives and electronic assembly technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with cross-functional and cross-regional teams, such as sales, product development, marketing, and customers.
- Experience operating in regional or matrix organizations.
- Strong communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to digital tools, data management, and lab digitalization initiatives is an advantage.
