This role seeks for a driven Product Manager to own and scale ShopeePay's Payment ecosystem in Malaysia, supporting high-volume transactions across group-wide business lines – from feature conceptualisation and product roadmap planning through to rollout and post-deployment monitoring.
Job Description
- Own end-to-end product lifecycle for Payment features and drive product roadmap for Malaysia payment systems, balancing user experience, business growth, cost efficiency, and system reliability
- Collaborate with Business, Regional Product, and external partners (banks, payment gateways, network providers) to deliver scalable and compliant payment solutions
- Manage integration and performance of payment channels (e.g. cards, online banking, wallets), ensuring high success rates and uptime in high TPS environments
- Work closely with Checkout and frontend teams to optimise payment flows, conversion, and user experience with strong UI/UX sense
- Lead UAT, live testing, and rollout planning, ensuring readiness, risk mitigation, and smooth go-live deployment - including preparing training materials / conducting briefings for applicable business units.
- Monitor key payment metrics (eg. success rate, latency, drop-offs), troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvements
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Ops, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Business) to resolve incidents, ensure compliance, and support daily payment operations
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in payments, fintech, financial services, or high-scale platforms.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, checkout flows, backend integrations and reconciliation/settlement systems (eg. card, payment gateways, APIs).
- Proven ability to own end-to-end product lifecycle and deliver features in fast-paced environments, combined with strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decisions
- Fluent communication skills with ability to manage cross-functional local and regional stakeholders in Singapore, Indonesia and Shenzhen
- Proficient in English and Malay (written and spoken); Chinese is a plus
- Proactive, resilient, and able to operate under ambiguity and pressure
