Job Purpose:
Responsible for implementing the restructuring exercises and monitoring the performance of companies under LTAT's strategic investments portfolio to ensure LTAT's key objectives and targets are met.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Development & Implementation of Value Creation / Restructuring Plan
- Collaborate with the project working group (including LTAT's and its subsidiaries key senior management, legal advisors, external consultants, internal cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders) to develop restructuring strategies and align them with the LTAT's overall strategic direction.
- Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive restructuring strategy, considering both short-term and long-term LTAT's goals.
- Support the target company's management team to execute value creation plan aimed at enhancing its overall financial performance and position.
2. Investment Evaluation
- Analyse financial statements, cash flow projections, and other relevant financial data to assess the target company's financial performance and position and identify any potential risks.
- Assist in developing financial models to evaluate various scenarios and their impact on LTAT's financial performance.
- Conduct in-depth analysis on the target companies to identify the financial impacts, risk implications, critical success factors, etc.
- Perform the valuation and risk-return analysis on the target company annually and when it is needed.
3. Transaction and Stakeholder Management
- Assist in implementing and coordinating the entire restructuring implementation plan with various stakeholders such as LTAT's and its subsidiaries key senior management, legal advisors, external consultants, internal cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders.
- Establish, implement and monitor a project tracker which includes project activities, timeline, working members, task assignments and cadence.
- Identify and highlight any issues or challenges that affects the timely completion of the restructuring plan.
- Conduct post-investment value creation plans, including active engagement with the assigned investee companies.
4. Portfolio Management
- Monitor and track the financial performance and significant issues, and developments of the assigned companies under the LTAT's strategic investments to ensure they are delivering the intended strategic and financial outcomes.
- Prepare and generate companies quarterly performance review reports for senior management.
5. Risk Management
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with the restructuring plan and process.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies and contingency plans to mitigate risks, ensuring the LTAT's resilience throughout the restructuring period.
6. Governance & Regulatory Compliance
- Work closely with legal and risk and compliance teams to structure deals in accordance with internal governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure all aspects of the restructuring exercises comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements such as the Tabung Angkatan Tentera.
- Act 1973, Companies Act 2016, Capital Markets and Services Act 2007, Bursa listing requirements, etc.
7. To undertake any additional assignment as instructed by LTAT.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/investment management/business administration, or other related field.
- MBA or any other relevant professional certifications, such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, are an added advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in corporate finance, private equity, corporate restructuring, corporate strategy, or another similar role.
