Role:
- We are looking for a hands-on senior Azure Cloud & DevOps engineer to join the Platform Engineering team.
- In this role, you will help secure, support and improve the Azure environment behind mission-critical financial-services applications used across Australia and New Zealand.
- You will work across Azure infrastructure, DevOps automation, cloud security, networking and identity—partnering with application, security, network and platform teams to improve reliability and close security gaps.
Responsibilities:
- Build, configure and support MS Azure infrastructure and services.
- Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to deliver safer and more consistent deployments.
- Use Terraform to automate infrastructure and maintain standardised environments.
- Identify cloud security gaps and implement practical remediation.
- Configure and troubleshoot Azure VNets, subnets, network security groups and firewall rules.
- Manage access controls using MS Entra ID, RBAC, service principals and managed identities.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of relevant cloud, infrastructure, platform or DevOps engineering experience.
- Demonstrated recent hands-on experience with MS Azure in production environments.
- Practical experience building, maintaining or improving CI/CD pipelines.
- Production experience using Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool.
- Experience implementing cloud security controls or remediating cloud vulnerabilities.
- Practical knowledge of Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs and firewall rules.
- Experience using MS Entra ID and Azure access controls.
- Experience supporting production cloud environments and resolving technical incidents.
