About The Role
We are looking for an experienced
Senior Business Continuity Manager to join RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the review, maintenance, and execution of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans across the Group. You will work closely with business units and internal stakeholders to ensure critical operations remain resilient and fully compliant with regulatory requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
Business Continuity Maintenance
- Assist business units in developing, reviewing, and updating Business Continuity (BC) plans, procedures, and related documentation to ensure readiness during incidents or crises.
- Support business units in identifying critical business functions and developing appropriate recovery and continuity strategies.
- Review BC plans and procedures to ensure recovery steps for critical operations are clearly documented and practical.
- Track and support the implementation of approved BCP initiatives to strengthen BCM preparedness across critical units.
Recovery Testing (BC & DR)
- Track and monitor BC and DR test schedules to ensure exercises are completed within timelines and meet regulatory requirements.
- Review test scope, conditions, and simulation scripts to assess BCP effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with Group IT to ensure DR test scope and scenarios adequately support recovery strategies for critical systems.
- Review and follow up on BCP test reports prepared by business units to ensure alignment with Bank Negara Malaysia's BCM Guidelines.
BC Reporting
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to prepare and submit required BCM reports to management and regulators.
- Collate and compile information for draft reports and documentation on BC and DR activities.
BCM Continual Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance and simplify existing BCM processes and procedures.
- Execute improvement action plans to strengthen BCM practices across the Group.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Business, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Business Continuity Management from a recognized local or international body.
- Minimum 3 years of banking experience, with at least 2 years directly involved in BCM operations within a financial institution.
- Hands-on exposure to BCM implementation, maintenance, and testing.
- Good understanding of BCM regulatory requirements within the region; knowledge of BNM guidelines is an advantage.
- Strong planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
