The C27 Content and Community team combines meaningful insights, universal truths, hot topics and a dose of visual artistry to create arresting content and engage with digital communities. They are also responsible for producing content on digital channels and engaging the community in line with a brand's voice. This is the team that made Netflix one of Malaysia's favourite brands and levelled up the way McDonald's engages its biggest fans in the digital age. Our work has been seen more than 7 billion times yearly, which is still growing.

Requirements
- Min 6-7 years of experience managing a team and serving creative functions in an organisation or equivalent.
- Portfolio composition of T2 majority portfolio OR >RM250k portfolio value.
- Proven record of making creative content across all digital and social media platforms: X/Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
- Has extraordinary skills in at least one, if not all, design, video editing, and social media copywriting.
- Possess impeccable command of the English language (Written & Spoken). Other spoken & written languages are a big plus.
- Knowledge and experience researching new trends, strategizing and interpreting data to create kick-ass content strategies.
- Well-versed in cinematography, storytelling, producing and editing formats and techniques; communicating your vision to clients, team members and vendors to achieve high-quality results.
Primary Roles And Responsibilities
Creative Excellence
- Ensure the highest quality of work is produced at all times.
- Inspire intent and delight your audience.
- Keep up with current events and the latest marketing trends.
- Make the most of ideations and work with the team to bring ideas to life.
- Able to articulate, rationalise and defend conceptual and directional choices.
- Accountable for the final development and production of creative assets.
- Time allocated will vary, but equal dedication will be ensured to all bodies of work.
- Champion the rule of no Lorem Ipsum in mockups. You must ensure that words and visuals are equally prioritised in any work.
- Under-promise, over-deliver.
Creative Strategy, Ideation & Planning
- Research and plan topics, as well as present signals and issues.
- Synthesise data from the Strategy team.
- Collaborate with the Creative Group Head to write the Project Brief.
- Plan, develop and execute campaign/content calendar with CGH, Content Lead, and Content Creator.
- Utilise Emplifi to monitor content performance and implement improvements.
- Strategize content planning with the CGH, Content Lead, and Content Creator.
- Collaborate with the CGH, Content Lead, and Content Creator to write the presentation deck.
- Present ideas to clients alongside the Planning Team.
Creative Execution
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of your client's brand voice and implement it into all creative jobs.
- Collaborate with the Design Team to bring strategy to reality
- Present the planning deck alongside the Content Lead and/or Content Creator to the Design Team.
- Participate in Pre-Production Meetings to ensure alignment between strategy and execution.
- Co-approve low-touch videos with the Design Lead.
- Provide content references through visuals shared during Production Meetings.
- Attend design and production days for presentation and collaboration.
- Oversee the overall content production process alongside Senior Design Lead/Design Lead.
Creative Leadership
- Mentor and support the editorial team, encouraging innovation and risk-taking in content creation.
- Develop and execute content strategies that align with the department's vision and organizational values.
- Inspire the editorial team to produce compelling and industry-leading content.
- Work closely with editorial & design teams to develop and execute editorial solutions within an overarching concept.
- Assist in presenting editorial work to clients, supporting the Creative Group Head in client meetings.
- Take on a leadership role when working or presenting work to clients.
- Ensure that you are the source of inspiration for your team.
- Lead and manage the editorial team, ensuring a balanced environment for creativity and risk-taking.
- Ensure editorial content's final development and production, maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
- Help organise, maintain, and oversee editorial standards and guidelines.
- Mentor and onboard editorial team members, offering innovative advice and solutions.
- Offer insight on editorial briefs and schedules and assist in debriefing editorial teams.
- Support the Creative Group Head in coordinating production shoots and events as needed.
- Responsible for debriefing content writers / senior content writers/freelancers / vendors on how to carry out execution work with the creative group head.
Client/Partners & Agencies Management
- Consult clients and partner agencies with minimal supervision from the Creative Group Head/Associate Creative Director/Creative Director, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Present and rationalize content strategies and creative executions to clients/partners, pitching and justifying ideas effectively.
- Inspire and motivate clients and partner agencies to push creative boundaries and deliver exceptional craft output.
- Cultivate and maintain cross-functional relationships with partner agencies and clients to gather the best information and gain traction on strategies and ideas.
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage and ensure personal and team tasks are delivered on time, working closely with the Account Management Team.
- Being able to advise on hours count, cost estimates, and managing client execution budgets.
Internal Initiatives
- To work closely with others to execute & drive internal special projects as initiated by the CEO.
- Keep an eye out for awards/case study work across the C27 portfolio of clients.
- To ensure the brand image (visually) of C27 is consistent throughout while working with the internal branding team.
Other Responsibilities
General Responsibilities

- Ensure effective interdepartmental collaboration.

- To be responsible for the safekeeping and general usage of the Company's assets in employee possession and the usage of Company facilities provided.
- To be dressed presentably and to maintain professionalism during client meetings.
- To uphold C27's brand image at all times, during working hours and non-working hours, in-office grounds or out of office grounds.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities
- You constantly observe C27's culture and practices, working to uplift the Company's good name.
