OneCredit (One Future Solutions Sdn Bhd) is Malaysia's newest licensed Credit Bureau under the Ministry of Finance.

We build and operate large-scale data and AI platforms that aggregate and analyze individual and business credit information. Our products support risk assessment, decision-making, and responsible credit access for financial institutions, enterprises, and government stakeholders. We operate in a regulated environment with high expectations for data quality, governance, and auditability.

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist (IC) to own data science and applied AI initiatives end-to-end, from problem definition through production deployment.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role. You will lead projects independently, make technical decisions, and be accountable for outcomes in production. The role spans traditional data science, machine learning, and production-grade LLM applications.

You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Compliance teams in an agile, sprint-based environment, using Linear for delivery tracking.

What You'll Do

• Own data science and GenAI projects from scoping to production
• Explore and analyze large datasets using Python (Polars, Pandas) and SQL
• Build and validate statistical and machine learning models (e.g. scoring, segmentation, anomaly detection)
• Design, build, and productionize LLM-powered applications (e.g. RAG, internal tools, workflow automation)
• Define evaluation, monitoring, and guardrails for models and LLM systems
• Collaborate with Engineering to deploy solutions on:
• AWS (ECS), Dagster, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ
• DataDog for observability
• Terraform / Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code
• Ensure solutions meet regulatory, governance, and data quality requirements
• Communicate insights and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level experience delivering data science and AI systems in production
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Solid grounding in statistics and machine learning fundamentals
• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM / GenAI applications
• Experience working in cloud-based, production environments (preferably AWS)
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently end-to-end
• Clear, concise communicator comfortable operating in ambiguity

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial services, credit risk, or regulated environments
• Exposure to LLM evaluation frameworks and AI risk considerations
• Experience building internal data or AI platforms
