Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

To help us build functional systems that improve customer experience, we are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in deploying product updates, identifying production issues, implementing integrations, and managing Kubernetes clusters and environments to meet our customers needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering, experience with cloud technologies, a passion for infrastructure automation and container orchestration, and expertise in managing K8s clusters and environments, we'd love to speak with you.

Objectives of this Role

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure

• Developing and maintaining new CI/CD pipelines

• Managing Kubernetes clusters and environments

• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and effectively communicating those to developers

• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes

• Testing and reviewing code written by others, analyzing results, and providing constructive feedback

• Ensuring the safety and security of systems against cybersecurity threats

• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes

• Collaborating with software developers and engineers to ensure adherence to established processes and the intended functionality of development projects

• Planning out projects and actively participating in project management decisions

• Investigating and resolving technical issues promptly and effectively

• Developing applications for automated visualization and integration with internal back-end systems

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineer roles

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role

• Working knowledge of databases and SQL

• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud

• Proficiency in container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes

• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef

• Proficiency with Git and Git workflows

• Strong problem-solving attitude and attention to detail

• Collaborative team spirit and excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science or software engineering

• Experience with cloud technology such as AWS, Azure or Ali cloud.

• Experience developing engineering applications.
