Senior Electronic Engineer @2hcs

Objective

Technical lead for the electrical design during development or modification of laboratory instruments, from analyzing existing systems and requirements to the generation of concepts and their implementation

Responsibilities

Good knowledge of electrical design engineering for automated laboratory devices (embedded systems, control systems and sensors)

Skilled in using computer-assisted engineering (CAE) and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks

Basic programming experience

Expert in system design incl. concept, integration, design to cost

Create and explain design concepts

Write clear technical specifications, reports and other documents

Understanding of the HW architecture with attention to details and interfaces

Enhance and simplify the functional and technical aspects of products

Consistently learning new technology

Contribute to continuous improvement of the HW engineering best practices

Ability to analyze, explain and present technical information

Good problem solver

Troubleshooting and debugging of issues

Ability to conduct research

Good understanding and implementation of the product development process

Requirements

Must

1. Bachelor or University degree in electrical engineering
2. 6 - 8+ years of experience in instrument or module development, preferably in the laboratory automation industry
3. Good Oral and Written Communication (English and German)
4. Good presentation skills and willingness to present
5. PCB Design with Altium Designer
6. Programming (Lua, Python, C++)
7. Good moderation skills
8. Capable of presenting a technical solution to an Engineering team
9. Maintains a positive attitude and positively influences team collaboration.
