About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated
Senior Equity Research Analyst in RHB Asset Management (RHBAM). In this role, you will be responsible for generating actionable stock ideas and providing in-depth research coverage on assigned sectors. This includes producing high-quality research reports, developing and maintaining financial models, conducting ESG assessments, and supporting fund managers in investment decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of capital markets, and a passion for uncovering investment opportunities.
What You Will Be Doing
- Generate high-conviction stock ideas and sector insights to support portfolio strategy and construction
- Conduct detailed analysis of companies within assigned sectors, including industry trends and competitive positioning
- Prepare and maintain financial models and valuation assessments
- Produce timely and insightful research reports and presentations for internal stakeholders
- Perform ESG assessments to align with responsible investment strategies
- Work closely with fund managers to support their investment decisions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practices in research standards
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or a related financial role
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to think independently and generate original investment ideas
- In-depth understanding of capital markets, particularly in Malaysia
- Familiarity with ESG frameworks and sustainability trends is a plus
- CFA qualification or progress toward it is an added advantage
