Job Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Compliance Coordination (CN / Purchasing / Local
Teams)
- Act as the primary coordination point between China (CN) team, Purchasing team, and Local Country teams on product compliance matters.
- Ensure accurate communication and alignment of compliance requirements, product specifications, and regulatory expectations across stakeholders.
- Translate and clarify compliance requirements into actionable tasks for relevant internal teams.
- Ensure timely follow-up and closure of compliance-related requirements across all parties.
- Regulatory Understanding & Compliance Readiness
- Ensure correct understanding of HS codes and import/export regulatory requirements prior to shipment execution.
- Support alignment of international testing standards and regulatory requirements across product categories (e.g., Household, Medical, Appliances, Floor Care, Toys, Packaging, etc.).
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate key updates to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Documentation & Compliance Data Management
- Maintain tracking of all compliance-related documentation including certificates, licenses, permits, and approvals received from local teams.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely updating of compliance records for audit and internal reference purposes.
- Consolidate and report compliance status and key metrics to management.
- Internal Coordination & Issue Resolution
- Work closely with Local and Purchasing teams to resolve compliance related issues during importation or product onboarding.
- Support resolution of gaps in documentation, data inconsistencies, or compliance clarifications between regions.
- Participate in project and operational meetings to provide updates and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
- SOP & Process Support
- Support the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to product compliance coordination and execution flow.
- Identify process gaps between CN, Purchasing, and Local teams and recommend improvements.
- Leadership & Team Supervision
- Supervise, guide, and support 2 Product Compliance Executives, ensuring all tasks are executed accurately, completely, and on time.
- Provide task allocation, monitoring, and quality checking of deliverables.
- Act as backup support for team operations, ensuring continuity of compliance workflow during absence or peak workload.
- Ensure proper escalation and follow-up of pending compliance matters.
Job Requirements
▪ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field.
▪ Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance, supply chain coordination, import/export, or related field.
▪ Strong understanding of HS codes and customs/import/export processes.
▪ Experience working in cross-functional and cross-regional environments (China / SEA preferred).
▪ Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
▪ Leadership experience in supervising junior team members is required.
▪ Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written)
