Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Partner closely with business leaders to understand business objectives and manpower requirements.
  • Provide strategic HR guidance to support business growth, organizational effectiveness, and operational excellence.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on organizational design, workforce planning, employee development, and succession planning.
  • Coach and support people managers on leadership capabilities, team effectiveness, and people management best practices.
  • Drive organizational change initiatives and support change management across the business.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as the primary HR contact for assigned departments.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with hiring managers to develop hiring strategies and workforce plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for key and strategic positions while ensuring an excellent candidate experience.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical business functions.
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes and employer branding initiatives.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Serve as the primary HR advisor on employee relations matters, including disciplinary cases, investigations, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Guide managers on performance management, employee development, coaching conversations, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Drive probation reviews, confirmation exercises, and annual performance review cycles.
  • Promote a positive employee experience and foster a high-performance culture

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Coordinate probation reviews, confirmation processes, and performance appraisal cycles.
  • Support managers in performance coaching and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
  • Monitor performance trends and recommend improvement initiatives.

Talent Development & Employee Engagement

  • Identify organizational capability gaps and collaborate with leaders to develop learning and development initiatives.
  • Support leadership development, succession planning, and talent management programmes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to enhance employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.

HR Projects, Analytics & Governance

  • Lead and participate in HR transformation projects, policy enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce metrics, employee trends, and HR data to provide actionable insights to business leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with Employment Act, labour regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain effective HR governance while continuously improving HR processes and employee experience.

Job Requirements

Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources, including at least 2–3 years in an HR Business Partner or strategic HR Generalist role
  • Hands-on experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and HR operations.
  • Good understanding of the Employment Act and Malaysian labour regulations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin to support Chinese-speaking stakeholders will be an added advantage.

Good to Have

  • Experience in the Fintech, Payments, Technology, E-commerce, or Startups, or high-growth organizations will be an added advantage.
  • Experience driving organizational change or culture transformation projects.
