In This Role, You Will Be...
1. General HR Operations
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, contract management, internal transfers, promotions, and offboarding, ensuring all steps are executed accurately and on time.
- Maintain and regularly audit employee records, HR databases, and personnel files to ensure data accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Act as a first point of contact for employees on general HR inquiries, directing them to the right resources or escalating where appropriate.
- Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures, ensuring employees and managers have clear guidance on day-to-day HR matters.
- Prepare and analyze regular HR reports and dashboards covering headcount, attrition, leave utilization, and other key HR metrics to support management decision-making.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing HR processes and proactively propose improvements.
2. Payroll & Compensation Administration
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain and update employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and leave records.
- Work closely with Finance to reconcile payroll figures and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Handle employee inquiries related to pay, benefits, and deductions professionally and accurately.
- Support year-end payroll activities including tax filings and statutory reporting.
3. Employee Relations (ER)
- Support managers in handling employee performance issues, disciplinary processes, and formal grievances in line with company policy and local labor regulations.
- Help maintain a healthy and compliant work environment by identifying potential ER risks early and escalating where necessary.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing HR policies, warning letters, and other employment-related documentation.
- Keep accurate and confidential records of all ER cases and follow through on action items to closure.
4. Recruitment Support
- Assist with recruitment activities as needed, including job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination.
- Support onboarding arrangements for new hires to ensure a smooth joining experience.
- Help maintain relationships with recruitment channels such as universities, job boards, and social media platforms.
What You Need To Be Successful...
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin. (Mandarin is required for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking teams.)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge on the job.
