About the Role
We're recruiting on behalf of a confidential client — an established law firm with a strong cross-border practice spanning Malaysia and Singapore. This is an opportunity to work directly with a Partner on complex, high-value corporate and investment transactions, including cross-border deals involving offshore structuring. If you're a mid-level corporate lawyer looking to deepen your M&A and cross-border practice with real deal exposure, this is worth a conversation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a Partner in advising on and reviewing contract documents for investments, joint ventures, and cross-border transactions
- Handle general corporate, share purchase, and M&A matters end-to-end
- Assist with PE/VC fund investment structuring and related documentation
- Work across offshore structuring matters (e.g. BVI, Cayman Islands) where relevant to client transactions
- Support existing client relationships on ongoing corporate/commercial matters
Requirements
- 4–5 years PQE, qualified in Singapore or Malaysia, with experience at a local law firm
- Demonstrated experience in cross-border transactions is a must
- Solid grounding in Common Law and English Law, with practice exposure to general corporate, share purchase, FDI, M&A, and/or PE/VC fund investment work
- Fluent in English and Mandarin ( Written and Spoken)
- Experience with offshore business structuring (BVI, Cayman Islands), international business law, or capital markets practice is a strong plus
- Comfortable working under pressure with a positive, team-oriented attitude
