Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's total rewards strategy to ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, and regulatory compliance. This role partners closely with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and external vendors to support compensation planning, benefits administration, job evaluation, and HR transformation initiatives while enhancing employee experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Compensation
- Develop, review, and implement compensation policies, frameworks, and salary structures.
- Lead annual salary review, bonus planning, and incentive programs.
- Conduct market benchmarking using external salary surveys to ensure competitive positioning.
- Perform job evaluation, grading, and organizational structure reviews.
- Provide compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, transfers, and internal movements.
- Ensure internal pay equity and governance across the organization.
- Prepare compensation reports and workforce analytics for management.
Benefits
- Manage employee benefits programs including medical, insurance, retirement, wellness, and flexible benefits.
- Evaluate benefit offerings and recommend enhancements based on market trends and employee needs.
- Oversee relationships with insurance providers, brokers, and external benefit vendors.
- Monitor benefits utilization and cost effectiveness.
HR Advisory & Business Partnering
- Advise HR Business Partners and business leaders on compensation-related matters.
- Support organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and manpower budgeting.
- Partner with Finance on annual manpower cost planning and forecasting.
- Provide guidance on reward strategies for talent attraction and retention.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead compensation and benefits transformation initiatives.
- Drive HR digitalization and system enhancements related to total rewards.
- Participate in HRIS implementation or optimization projects.
- Review and streamline C&B processes to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, or organizational integration projects when applicable.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Maintain governance over payroll-related compensation changes.
- Prepare reports for audits and regulatory requirements.
- Keep abreast of market trends and legislative updates impacting compensation and benefits.
Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the Compensation & Benefits team.
- Foster collaboration across HR functions and business stakeholders.
- Manage external consultants and vendors where required
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline.
- 8–12 years of progressive HR experience with strong specialization in Compensation & Benefits.
- Experience managing salary reviews, bonus exercises, job evaluation, and market benchmarking.
- Familiarity with compensation survey methodologies and job grading frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and HR analytics capabilities.
- Experience working with HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle, or similar).
- Good understanding of employment legislation and compensation governance.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple priorities.
- Leadership experience managing teams is preferred.
