Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Manager / Manager - HR & Admin to lead and oversee the HR and Administration functions within WCT Malls, including employee relations, talent management, performance management, HR operations and general administration.

The role will work closely with Management and employees to provide strategic HR guidance, manage people-related matters, drive HR initiatives, and ensure efficient administrative operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant labour laws.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations

  • Handle employee enquiries, grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace issues professionally and confidentially.
  • Conduct investigations and support resolution of employee relations matters.
  • Communicate and ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support employee engagement, wellness, team-building and staff activities.

Talent Management

  • Support end-to-end recruitment, including job advertising, resume screening, interviews and candidate assessment.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
  • Support performance management, employee development and retention initiatives.

HR Operations

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate payroll-related matters, including attendance, overtime, deductions and other payroll inputs.
  • Administer employee benefits, leave and HR programmes.
  • Prepare HR reports, statistics and management information, including attrition, performance, HR metrics, surveys and sustainability-related reporting.

HR Compliance

  • Ensure HR practices comply with applicable labour laws, company policies and internal procedures.
  • Assist in reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Support HR audits and compliance assessments.

Administration

  • Manage day-to-day office administration and ensure smooth administrative operations.
  • Coordinate office supplies, facilities, maintenance, vendors and service providers.
  • Handle general correspondence, filing, documentation and administrative records.
  • Travel arrangements, coordinate meetings, company events, and other administrative requirements when required.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external parties on administrative matters.

Others

  • Perform other HR, administrative and ad-hoc assignments as required by Management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field. A Master's Degree or relevant HR professional certification would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with exposure to employee relations, talent management, performance management, HR operations and administration.
  • Prior experience in a managerial or team leadership capacity is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws, HR practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
