The Senior Manager / Manager, Operation is responsible for overseeing and driving the end-to-end operational activities across Order Management, Inbound & Outbound Logistics, Warehouse Operation, Billing & Invoicing, as well as International Logistics and Land Transportation. The role ensures seamless operational execution, cost efficiency, and service excellence while supporting the company's business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order & Operations Management
- Lead and oversee end-to-end order management, ensuring timely fulfilment and accurate coordination between internal teams and clients.
- Monitor daily operations across inbound & outbound logistics, warehouse activities, transportation, and inventory movements.
- Ensure full compliance with client SOPs, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
2. Warehouse & Logistics Optimization
- Drive operational efficiency through process improvement, automation, and data-driven decisions.
- Ensure effective stock accuracy, space utilization, and optimal workforce planning in warehouse operations.
- Oversee transport planning, routing efficiency, and coordination with freight and land transport partners.
3. Billing, Invoicing & Cost Control
- Oversee accurate and timely issuance of billing and invoicing based on contractual terms and service deliverables.
- Ensure operational cost control while maintaining quality standards and meeting SLA expectations.
4. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, manage, and develop the operations team, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Establish effective communication channels with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues and drive resolution proactively.
5. Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Lead process improvement initiatives and implement best practices in logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment), legal, and customs regulations.
- Prepare operational performance reports, dashboards, and improvement recommendations for management review.
6. Other responsibilities
- Perform any other operational or strategic responsibilities as assigned from time to time to support business needs.
- Contribute to project-based initiatives and organizational improvement efforts as the company grows and expands its operational scope.
- Demonstrate adaptability and proactive leadership in handling new requirements, client expectations, or operational challenges beyond the current scope.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Malaysian with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in logistics / supply chain operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience in order fulfilment, warehouse management, transportation management, and billing cycles.
- Strong leadership with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (internal & external).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with warehouse / logistics systems is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and ensure operational excellence.
- Knowledge of international logistics, customs documentation, and regulatory compliance is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
