Job Description

ROLES SUMMARY

The Senior Product Analyst is responsible for translating reservoir, production, and well engineering expertise into functional product requirements, engineering workflows, and digital solutions. The role ensures product capabilities align with business objectives, industry best practices, and user needs while supporting product development, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The position works closely with Product Line Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Engineers, and Technology teams to deliver technically accurate, high-quality, and scalable solutions for Reservoir Management products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and document reservoir, production, and well engineering workflows for digital products and solutions.
  • Gather and analyse business, operational, and technical requirements from stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Develop Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Validate product functionality and ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Review product features, workflows, and deliverables to ensure quality and completeness.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers, Engineers, and Development teams during product planning and delivery.
  • Support solution testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and product validation activities.
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards, engineering best practices, and customer expectations.
  • Prepare and maintain product documentation, workflow diagrams, and technical references.
  • Identify opportunities for product enhancements, optimization, and innovation.

COMPETENCIES

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Production Engineering, Well Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Master's Degree is an added advantage.

Skills and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Reservoir Engineering, Production Engineering, Well Engineering, or related upstream oil & gas disciplines.
  • Experience working with digital solutions, engineering applications, or technology-enabled workflows.
  • Strong understanding of reservoir management, production optimization, well performance, and field development processes.
  • Proven experience in functional analysis, requirements definition, and workflow design.
  • Ability to translate complex engineering requirements into digital product capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in product development environments is advantageous.
