Job Summary**
Responsible for leading and managing the Supplier Quality team to ensure the highest standards of quality from external suppliers, driving continuous improvement, and mitigating supply chain risks for Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd.
Job Responsibilities**
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and Technicians.
* Develop, implement, and maintain Jabil's Supplier Quality Management System (SQMS) in alignment with corporate and site-specific requirements.
* Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances.
* Conduct supplier audits and assessments (system, process, product) to ensure compliance with Jabil's quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
* Manage supplier qualification, selection, and de-selection processes in collaboration with procurement and engineering teams.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, including implementing statistical process control (SPC), lean methodologies, and advanced product quality planning (APQP).
* Facilitate the resolution of critical supplier quality issues, collaborating with internal teams (e.g., manufacturing, engineering, procurement) and suppliers.
* Approve supplier deviations, waivers, and engineering change requests related to supplier quality.
* Prepare and present regular reports on supplier quality performance to management.
* Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes impacting supplier quality.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or equivalent).
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field within a manufacturing environment (preferably electronics manufacturing).
* At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
* Strong understanding and practical application of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
* Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5 Whys, and Six Sigma.
* Certified Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001) preferred.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
* Ability to travel to supplier sites as required.
