Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Production line sustaining (e.g. Tester troubleshooting).
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on test equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair test stations, automated test systems, and related hardware.
- Support production operations by ensuring test systems are functioning reliably and efficiently.
- Support new tester builds (e.g. Hardware installation and arrangements).
- Support implementation of process improvements to reduce scrap and rework.
- Perform 1st level failure analysis on test rejects and low-yield products.
- Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and quality standards.
- Support engineering change implementations and new product introductions (NPI).
- Act as the technical focal point during assigned shifts.
- Assist in developing containment and recovery plans during quality excursions.
- Perform other duties as directed by the immediate superior.
Job Requirements:
Education: Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related Technical Discipline
Experience and Qualifications:
- Min 3-5 years of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience or related Technical Field.
- Experience in test equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with optical transceiver products, fiber optic technologies, and automated test systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting, instrumentation, and preventive maintenance methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy/mentor, duration of learning, etc.
Key Skills:
- With good computer literacy, good communication skills and reporting of information/data. Strong interest in computer hardware engineering.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting a wide range of desktop software and components.
- Experience in equipment's Total Control Methodology.
- Background in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge in Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Optical and electrical measurement systems.
- Preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Basic Technical documentation and reporting.
