Senior Test Analyst

Employment Type: Contract (12 Months Renewable)

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, QA, or a related IT role.
• Proven experience in functional, integration, and system testing.

Technical Experience

• Experience developing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
• Experience in test planning, test execution, and defect management.
• Exposure to test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Quality Center)
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Grafana, Dynatrace, etc.) is an advantage.

Automation Testing

• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation testing using Katalon tools.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines is preferred.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of applications throughout the software development lifecycle. The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for improving test coverage, enhancing testing efficiency, reducing manual testing effort, and ensuring early detection of defects through robust automation frameworks and tools. This role contributes to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices by enabling scalable and repeatable automated testing processes that support faster and higher-quality releases.

Accountabilities:

• Test Planning and Strategy

Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents to define test scope and approach.

Develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and effort estimations.

Identify testing risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.

Provide input to improve testing standards, processes, and frameworks.

• Test Design and Preparation

Create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.

Ensure traceability between requirements and test cases (RTM).

Prepare test environments and ensure readiness before execution.

• Test Execution and Defect Management

Execute system integration tests (SIT), system tests, and regression tests based on test plan.

Log defects with clear details, steps, and evidence.

Follow up with development teams and stakeholders to drive timely resolution.

Conduct retesting and closure activities.

• Stakeholder Coordination and Reporting

Liaise with project managers, business analysts, developers, and QA leads on test progress.

Provide timely status updates, test reports, and defect summaries.

Participate in requirement walkthroughs, defect triage, and project discussions.

• Mentorship and Continuous Improvement

Guide junior testers on test design, execution standards, and quality practices.

Share best practices, testing techniques, and tools knowledge.

Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, automation, and processes.
