Job Description

Job Purpose:

To provide technical expertise in the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and servicing of analyzer systems for Oil & Gas clients. The Service Engineer is responsible for delivering timely and effective support to clients both onshore and offshore, while ensuring compliance with safety, documentation, and company standards. The role also includes internal knowledge sharing and mentoring junior team members.

 

·      Technical Service & Support

1.     Study and master all current analyzer products handled by the company.

2.     Continuously learn and adapt to new products as they are introduced.

3.     Attend onshore and offshore service jobs upon request, including emergency support.

4.     Handle installation, commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting for analyzer systems.

·      Project & Client Communication

5.        Study and master all current analyzer products handled by the company.

8.        Handle installation, commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting for analyzer systems.

9.        Support the Sales team by providing technical clarifications and progress updates.

10.   Attend technical meetings or site briefings as required.

·      Site Preparation & Compliance

11.   Coordinate with Document Controller (DC) to ensure Work Pack, JMS, and JHA are ready before mobilization.

12.   Manage site entry preparation: register company vehicles, tools (PETI), access cards, etc. for offshore jobs, liaise with client for bedding arrangements.

13.   Guide junior engineers or team members on site entry procedures.

·      Reporting & Documenatation

14.   Accurately record and file all TIS (Test & Inspetction Sheet) documents from clients.

15.   Ensure all service reports and timesheets are uploaded to SharePoint and submit hardcopies to DC for proper filing.

·      Technical Ownership & Leadership

16.   Be the technical point-of-contact for the analyzer products under your scope.

17.   Assist technical manager to train and coach new service engineers and technicians on product knowledge and service protocols.

18.   Supervise or mentor interns/trainees assigned under your guidance.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge in analyser systems used in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
  • Familiar with offshore site protocols, safety regulations, and tool control.
  • Proficient in documentation handling, reporting, and MS Office/SharePoint.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and team collaboration.
