Role Description The Shariah Wealth Planner is a full-time role based in Petaling Jaya with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a combination of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities. The role involves meeting clients to assess their financial goals, risk profiles, and protection needs, and designing Shariah-compliant financial and insurance plans tailored to their situations. Daily tasks include conducting financial reviews, recommending suitable investment and takaful/insurance solutions, and monitoring client portfolios for alignment with Shariah principles and long-term objectives. The Shariah Wealth Planner will prepare proposals and reports, follow up on client inquiries, and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory and company standards. The role also includes staying updated on industry developments, participating in training, and collaborating with team members to enhance client service and outreach.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Financial Planning and Finance, with the ability to analyze client needs and develop structured, Shariah-compliant wealth plans.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Investment Management and Investments, including assessing risk, recommending appropriate instruments, and monitoring portfolio performance.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Insurance, particularly in designing protection solutions that complement overall financial and estate planning.
  • Candidates should ideally have strong communication, interpersonal, and client advisory skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in clear, accessible language.
  • Candidates should demonstrate high ethical standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and within a team in a hybrid work environment.
  • A relevant diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, and professional certifications in financial planning or Islamic finance are advantageous.
  • Prior experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or insurance is beneficial, along with familiarity with Malaysian regulatory and Shariah-compliance requirements.
