Role Description The Social Media Executive (Mandarin Speaker) is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role is responsible for managing Joyspace's social media presence across platforms, including planning and scheduling posts, creating engaging content, and responding to audience interactions in both Mandarin and English. The Social Media Executive will work closely with the events and marketing teams to promote ongoing and upcoming events, develop campaign concepts, and monitor performance metrics. Daily tasks include content creation (copy, visuals, short videos), community management, basic reporting on social media performance, and coordinating with photographers, designers, and vendors as needed. The role also involves staying current with social media trends and proposing new ideas to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Mandarin and English, with the ability to create and adapt social media content in both languages.
• Experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Xiaohongshu/RED, WeChat) and using scheduling or analytics tools.
• Skills in content creation, including basic copywriting, visual storytelling, and familiarity with simple design or video-editing tools.
• Understanding of social media trends, audience engagement strategies, and brand positioning for event or lifestyle content.
• Ability to work on-site in Petaling Jaya, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication.
• Prior experience in events, marketing, or social media roles is an advantage; a diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is beneficial.
