Job Summary
- Design, develop and implement software for automation systems and equipment
- Develop software modules including I/O, configuration, flowchart and vision system interfaces
- Conduct DOE (Design of Experiments) for special process workflows, particularly vision verification and evaluation
- Perform unit, integration and system testing, debugging and troubleshooting
- Develop error alerts, exception handling and system logging to support troubleshooting
- Support on-site debugging and customer visits when required
- Prepare technical documentation and support training for new team members
- Work closely with the engineering team to identify technical issues and develop effective solutions
Required Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field
- 3+ years of software development experience, preferably within automation systems
- Strong programming skills in C#
- Experience with VisionPro, HALCON or OpenCV is highly preferred
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with Epson, ABB, TM (Denso) or FANUC robots is an advantage
- Experience integrating software with PLC or other industrial equipment
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, Modbus, Ethernet/IP and EtherCAT
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication, teamwork, planning and execution skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
