Software Engineer (Ubuntu/Linux)

Responsibilities/Skills

1. Create recipes for various packages, integrate and build it on Yocto BSP releases

2. Monitor the mailing lists such as meta-intel layer, linux-yocto, 01.org, Github etc., provide guidance and information and send out reports to Developers.

3. Code review activities in Yocto team for sustaining and new projects.

4. Merging of various Linux device drivers into Yocto BSP

5. Generate Prebuilt Images with core-image-sato-sdk and debug/test tools against YP 2.x BSPs

6. Fix build and merge related issues in Jenkins, nightly or weekly builds, push the code for gerrit review

7. Restructure repo manifest script and ci_nightly script - Git review for submitted commit

8. EFI boot stub prototyping for non-secured and secured boot

9. Yocto Recipe pull various tool chain source code and compile it into binary for Yocto

10. Perform sanity test (includes S0ix autonomous test) and list out working and non-working I/O components. Send out the test report.

11. Prepare release notes for various platforms to be released to Yoctoproject.org

12. Develop and enhance Yocto Project and meta-open embedded recipes, inclusive of upstream and back-port, on multiple platforms.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering

At least 2 years of working experience as a software engineer
