Job Description

Specialist / Senior Specialist, People Operations

The successful candidate will be part of the HR Services team, supporting the transition of HR operations from Head Office to Kris Business Hub (KBH). During the initial build and migration phase, the incumbent will work closely with Head Office subject matter experts to support knowledge transfer, service transition, operational readiness, and process stabilisation, helping establish HR Services capabilities within KBH.

The role will support a broad portfolio of HR Operations services, including employee lifecycle administration, workforce data, payroll and time management, benefits administration, and continuous improvement initiatives. As the organisation grows, the incumbent will progressively develop deeper expertise across designated service areas while contributing to operational excellence and service quality

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in end-to-end knowledge transfer (KT) activities with Head Office subject matter experts to acquire operational knowledge, understand business processes, and build HR Services capabilities within KBH.

  • Support the migration of HR Services by participating in process mapping, operational readiness activities, process validation, and the identification of improvement opportunities to enable successful service transition.

  • Progressively assume ownership of transitioned HR Services by shadowing, performing, and independently managing operational activities as knowledge transfer milestones are achieved.

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, knowledge articles, and operational documentation to support consistent and sustainable service delivery.

  • Deliver end-to-end employee lifecycle administration, including employee data maintenance, organisational changes, onboarding, internal mobility, leave administration, contract management, and offboarding activities.

  • Maintain workforce data integrity by ensuring employee records are processed accurately, consistently, and in compliance with established policies, procedures, governance standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Administer employee benefits and related operational activities, including enrolment, changes, claims administration, and coordination with external service providers where applicable.

  • Investigate and resolve complex operational cases across employee lifecycle administration, workforce data, payroll, time management, and benefits while ensuring appropriate governance, controls, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with Head Office counterparts, payroll vendors, HR systems teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues, support testing activities, system enhancements, and service transition initiatives.

  • Provide timely guidance and operational support to employees, managers, and internal stakeholders on HR policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring a high-quality service experience.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree with approximately 3–5 years experience (Specialist) or 5–10 years experience (Senior Specialist) in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, employee lifecycle administration, payroll support, or workforce data administration within a centralised or shared services environment.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting high-volume operational environments across both frontline and professional employee populations.

  • Experience participating in knowledge transfer, service migration, shared services transition, process implementation, or operational readiness initiatives will be highly advantageous.

  • Good understanding of employee lifecycle administration, workforce data management, payroll operations, time management, benefits administration, and HR operational governance.

  • Strong learning agility with the ability to quickly acquire new knowledge, document operational processes, and translate knowledge into sustainable service delivery practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex operational issues and recommend practical solutions.

  • Experience using HRIS and payroll platforms (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or equivalent). Exposure to workflow automation, digital solutions, and Generative AI (GenAI) tools will be an advantage.

  • Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business functions, vendors, and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced build environment, with the flexibility to support multiple People Operations workstreams as services transition into KBH.
