The Senior Manager, MSE Capability & Digitalization leads the Plant organization through the phase progression of MSE (Mars Supply Excellence) by building organization capability to use a set of tools and methodology for achieving sustainable results performance.
This role is an internal change agent working directly across all layers of the organization (shopfloor associates to plant leadership team) to drive engagement and capability growth to drive the Compelling Business Needs. It will be the main coach and driver for site drumbeat & capability building program to develop the organization and deliver the site CBN
Key Responsibilities
- Own the annual Development and Deployment process for the Site CBN, Strategies, and Master Plan.
- Conduct regular assessments against the MSE phase progression criteria with the Leadership Team, identifying gaps and implementing actions to close them.
- Provide training, coaching, and consultation on MSE tools and methodologies.
- Acquire knowledge of MSE, lean manufacturing, and industry best-in-class manufacturing operations practices to serve as a subject matter expert.
- Lead the Plant MSE team, consisting of Center of Excellence Leaders (PLT members).
- Establish appropriate Center Teams based on plant needs and MSE phase progression.
- Conduct regular audits to:
- Identify and recognize areas of MSE compliance.
- Identify, recognize, and implement MSE best practices.
- Identify areas of opportunity and collaborate with the plant to make improvements.
- Work with other plants to identify, develop, and implement MSE best practices.
- Lead ongoing cross-functional teams to conduct analyses of plant savings opportunities.
- Own Associate Training and Development systems in support of Associate skill Progression.
- Manage Site Daily Meeting Cadence with Tier 1-4 meetings and ensure they are effective for sustaining results

Critical Capability, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years related experience
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
- Understands and meets internal and external business needs with professionalism and a sense of urgency.
- Able to balance conflicting priorities and still provide the organisation with clear direction and focus.
Candidate minimum qualifications:
- Effective communication (both written and verbally) and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated change agent skills; inclusive of influence management, project management, vision development, and people motivation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and leverage internal and external technical resources.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and consult multiple organisational levels from the plant floor to supply chain senior leadership.
- Experience with manufacturing, enterprise, and PLAS systems.
- Proven problem solving skills inclusive of Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, and Conflict Resolution.
- Proficiency with computers, and computer software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Candidate preferred qualifications:
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience with Lean, IWS, TPM
- Previous Manufacturing Operations Management
