Job Description

Position Summary

To define planning and optimization strategies associated to model performance, design and deploy new functionalities and to update the Supply Model strategy based on the business requirements from different stakeholders. Moreover, the Supply Modeler is responsible to regularly update and evaluate supply network models for data-driven improvements and adaptability in a dynamic market environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assess the current state of the supply network, understanding business objectives, and designing a strategy to model and optimize the supply chain.
  • Cooperate with stakeholders such as Concurrent Planners, Manufacturing, Inventory Analyst, Distribution to define the updated business requirements and success criteria and reflect into strategy templates depending on the market conditions.
  • Translate strategy templates and needs from the business into mathematical/heuristic model.
  • Use modelling and simulation tools to perform updates of the parameters such as costs, penalties of supply network models to as close as possible to business goal and test the supply network model.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure models remain effective and adapt to changing market conditions and to perform the regular feedback for Supply Modelling governance meeting.
  • Risk Management and Contingency Planning: Highlight the significance of considering risk management strategies and developing contingency plans within supply chain modelling.

What will make you successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business or Economics
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operational Research or Industrial Engineering
  • +4 years of experience in supply planning. Should have significant experience in supply planning processes, is likely to have a comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans to optimize supply chain performance.
  • +2 years of experience in supply modelling. Proficient in modeling techniques, simulation tools, and data analysis methods to support strategic decision-making in supply chain planning and optimization.
  • +2 years of experience in data analysis. Skilled at collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights and support decision-making processes in supply chain management.
