Job Description


Role Description This part-time Takaful Advisor role is a hybrid position based in WP Kuala Lumpur, combining on-site work with flexibility to work from home for certain tasks. The Takaful Advisor will guide prospective and existing customers in understanding and selecting Shariah-compliant protection and savings solutions that align with their financial goals and

values.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting needs-based consultations, preparing quotations and proposals, explaining product features and coverage, and supporting customers through the application and onboarding process. The role also involves maintaining ongoing relationships with policy holders, responding to inquiries, providing policy reviews, and coordinating with internal teams on underwriting and claims-related matters. Advisors are expected to follow regulatory and company compliance standards, participate in training and development programs, and contribute to outreach and customer education activities.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Takaful concepts, Shariah-compliant financial products, and basic insurance principles, with a strong interest in ethical and customer-centered financial advisory.
  • Customer service and relationship-building skills, including the ability to conduct needs analysis, communicate clearly, and support individuals and families in making informed decisions.
  • Sales and negotiation abilities, such as presenting solutions confidently, handling objections professionally, and working towards achieving individual and team targets in a responsible manner.
  • Organizational and administrative skills, including maintaining accurate records, managing appointments, and using digital tools and CRM systems to track customer interactions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Malay and other local languages is an advantage.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and resilience.
  • Relevant certification or licensing to advise on Takaful or insurance products in Malaysia (or willingness to obtain such credentials), with prior experience in financial services, banking, or insurance considered
