Small class sizes and individualized attention help learners progress across subjects aligned with the English National Curriculum, IGCSE, O Level, and A Level. In addition, Peaks offers language classes for adults, including English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia. The center is committed to delivering an engaging educational experience that enables learners to excel academically and reach their full potential.

Role Description The Teacher Bahasa Melayu will deliver engaging Bahasa Melayu lessons to learners, using appropriate teaching methods and materials for different proficiency levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and preparing lessons, facilitating classroom and small-group activities, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will collaborate with other educators to align teaching approaches and support individualized learning plans. This is a part-time, hybrid role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with scheduled on-site teaching at Peaks Centre of Excellence and some work-from-home tasks such as lesson preparation and marking.

Qualifications

• Ability to design effective Lesson Planning and apply sound Education principles in language teaching.
• Strong Teaching and Training skills for delivering Bahasa Melayu lessons to diverse learner groups.
• Excellent Communication skills for explaining concepts clearly and engaging with students and families.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu, with a solid understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and cultural context.
• Prior experience teaching Bahasa Melayu or other languages in a school, tuition center, or adult learning environment.
• Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Education, Languages, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to manage small classes, differentiate instruction, and use digital tools for hybrid teaching.
• Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory teaching practices.
