Job Description

Role summary

Leads day-to-day execution of low-voltage cabling workstreams within an area/zone, translating standards into work plans, coordinating crews, and owning schedule and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage cabling execution for assigned zones: workface planning, crew sequencing, constraint removal, and daily progress tracking.

• Coordinate with construction trades for pathway readiness, access windows, and permit/safety requirements; ensure site rules compliance.

• Own in-process quality for the zone: inspections for cable routes, support, bend radius, slack storage, termination workmanship, and labeling adherence.

• Manage zone-level documentation: redlines, cable schedules, completion checklists, and turnover packets for the area.

• Support test and remediation workflow; drive closure of defects and ensure retest completion.

• Report status, risks, and recovery actions to the TPM3/Service Delivery leadership; maintain look-ahead and materials forecasts.

Required skills and knowledge

• Strong hands-on understanding of copper/fiber installation practices and workmanship standards aligned to BICSI/ANSITIA.

• Field execution management: workface planning, crew leadership, productivity measurement, and schedule recovery.

• Quality control: inspection checklists, defect triage, and rework prevention.

• Ability to interpret drawings, cable schedules, and scope definitions; manage RFIs and field changes.

• Comfort with tools for documentation and tracking (spreadsheets, ticketing/punch systems, cable test result repositories).

Certifications / training

• Preferred: BICSI Technician/Installer credentials or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: OSHA 10/30 (or local equivalent) for construction site safety.
