Job Summary
To provide technical expertise in fall protection solutions, support salespeople in identifying opportunities, and generate qualified leads through site assessments, training, and solution consultation.
Job Descriptions
1.Technical Expertise & System Design
- Assess customer sites and work-at-height activities to identify fall hazards.
- Design fall protection systems (temporary and permanent) including anchor points, horizontal/vertical lifelines, guardrails, access systems, etc.
- Prepare technical drawings, layout proposals and bills of materials.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (e.g. DOSH guidelines, MS, EN, OSHA, ANSI, AS/NZS) and customer requirements.
2.Sales Support & Business Development
- Support the sales team with technical proposals, solution presentations and product demonstrations.
- Conduct site surveys, risk assessments and solution recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver technical tenders, quotations and method statements.
3.Installation, Commissioning & Inspection
- Coordinate and supervise installation of fall protection systems with internal and external installers.
- Perform inspection, testing and commissioning (ITC) of installed systems and issue the necessary documentation.
- Conduct periodic inspection and re-certification of fall protection equipment and systems in line with manufacturers and regulatory requirements.
4.Compliance, Documentation & SOPs
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation: risk assessments, inspection reports, drawings, calculations, as-built documentation, user manuals and training records.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Industrial), Construction Management, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in fall protection, work-at-height safety, or related EHS/engineering role.
- Hands-on experience with fall protection PPE and systems (harnesses, lanyards, SRLs, lifelines, anchorages, guardrails, etc.).
- Experience conducting site surveys, risk assessments, and preparing technical proposals.
- Possess own transport and valid driving licence.
- Medically fit to work at height, including climbing and accessing elevated work areas where necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; basic CAD skills are an advantage.
- Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) in Bahasa Malaysia and English; additional languages an advantage.
- Customer-oriented, able to translate technical needs into practical and commercially viable solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team (sales, operations, training, manufacturing).
