Role Description The Technician PW3/4 role is a full-time, on-site position based in Putrajaya, responsible for supporting the safe and reliable operation of building facilities and equipment. Day-to-day tasks typically include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, conducting routine inspections, and carrying out corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems according to established procedures and standards. The technician is expected to respond to service requests and faults, troubleshoot issues, and escalate complex problems as needed while minimizing downtime. The role involves maintaining accurate maintenance records, adhering to safety and compliance requirements, and coordinating with other technicians, contractors, and site management to ensure high-quality service delivery. The Technician PW3/4 may also assist with minor installation works, support energy efficiency initiatives, and participate in continuous improvement activities for the site.

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical skills in building maintenance, such as basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, HVAC or M&E systems familiarity, and safe use of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, maintenance procedures, and safety guidelines, with attention to detail in completing work orders and reports.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, including prioritizing tasks, managing time effectively, and following structured maintenance schedules.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities to work with supervisors, colleagues, and external vendors, and to provide clear updates on maintenance activities.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices, including adherence to company policies, local regulations, and safe working procedures.
  • Certificate, diploma, or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline (e.g., building services, electrical, mechanical, or related field); relevant trade license or registration is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a similar technician role, preferably within commercial or corporate environments.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Putrajaya, including occasional after-hours or weekend support if required by operational needs.
