Test Engineer (I/II/Senior)

We are now hiring Test Engineer to be placed across Plexus Sites

Responsibilities:

. Participates in new product development to make sure testability is designed into new products.
. Determines the test process and develops test specs / procedures based on that process.
. Generates test programs and fixtures for production testing.
. Supports production by providing on-going technical support.
. Execute Engineering Change (EC) which is related to Test.
. Responsible of test yields improvement and test equipment maintenance.
. Support test quote request based on RFQ process.
. Responsible in tester improvement and Kaizen project Perform test capacity studies Support debug wips clearance
. Adhere to global SOPs and work instruction.

Requirements:

. Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Minimum 1-2 years experience in a PCBA test processes related environment.
. Hands on PCBA debugging/ failure analysis down to component level is a must.
. Possesses good knowledge in PCBA/HLA final Product test processes.
. Good knowledge in In-Circuit-Tester and Flying Probe are much preferred. Knowledgeable on RF testing / RF equipment and networking products will be an added advantage.
. Able to be part of a cross-functional team in problem solving and resolution of operations issues effectively.
. Strong oral and written communication skills Skilled writing and execution on Tester Validation Report Must be independent and self-motivated.

Key Job Accountabilities
Process Establishment, Maintenance and Control
-Determines the test process and optimize test specs / procedures based on that process
-Generates test programs, fixtures and Assembly Build Instructions (ABI) for production testing
-Ensure all the test specifications and instructions are carried out at the test area
-Responsible for testers setup and validation based on Universal Tester Acceptance ( UTA ) criteria
Ensures compliance of customer requirements, industry standard and safety at work place
-Coordinate with customer to determine the test strategy and resolve any test related issues
-Flawless execution of Engineering Change (EC) which is related to Test
-Liaising with Customers, Suppliers or relevant authorities to facilitate any test or equipment issue which may arise and to resolve the issue efficiently and promptly
Responsible for Test Related Metrics (Yield, Quality, Debug, Tester
Utilization & RMAs)
-Test yield improvement and zero escapee
-Work collaboratively with Production to efficiently utilize the test equipment and ensure adequate test capacity to accommodate customer's forecast or demand
- Responsible for the debug bone pile / RMAs and the prompt root cause analysis of systemic failures or rejects
Maintenance of Test Equipment
-Test equipment maintenance, ensure spares and minimize unscheduled downtime
-Provide NRE justification

Education Requirements
. Technical or Science Degree / Master Degree / PhD / Professional Certification in related discipline.
. Technical Diploma with some related working experience or equivalent will be considered.
