Employment Type: Contract 12 months (extendable)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Test Lead with strong Insurance domain expertise to lead end-to-end testing activities across enterprise application delivery projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing QA teams, driving SIT/UAT phases, coordinating with business stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality delivery within Agile or Waterfall environments.
Experience in Life Insurance, General Insurance, Claims, Policy Administration, or Digital Insurance platforms will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end testing activities across multiple insurance application projects.
- Prepare test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test execution schedules.
- Manage SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, and Defect Management processes.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and business users to validate requirements and test coverage.
- Review functional and technical specifications to ensure testability and quality compliance.
- Track defects, risks, dependencies, and provide regular status reporting to stakeholders.
- Manage offshore/onshore QA teams and ensure timely project delivery.
- Participate in release planning, production validation, and post-production support activities.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing methodologies, and governance processes.
- Drive automation testing initiatives where applicable.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of software testing experience with at least 2+ years in a Test Lead role.
- Strong experience in Insurance domain projects.
- Hands-on experience in SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Defect Management.
- Experience with Insurance systems such as Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, or Customer Portals.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall project environments.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Automation Testing tools (Selenium, Tosca, etc.).
- Exposure to API Testing and Database Validation.
- Knowledge of insurance regulatory or compliance requirements.
- ISTQB Certification preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
