We are seeking an experienced Testing and Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team for Data Centre projects in Malaysia. This position demands a solid foundation in electrical engineering, particularly in testing and commissioning power generation equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all equipment and systems adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements through thorough and safe testing processes. Responsibilities will encompass managing all aspects of testing, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and Integrated Systems Tests (IST). The engineer should be proficient in developing and executing test plans that align with customer needs while maintaining clear communication with the factory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take lead in testing and commissioning activities including FAT, SAT, and IST.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and safety standards during testing and commissioning processes.
- Develop and implement testing protocols to validate system functionality and performance according to customer specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to testing and commissioning.
- Collaborate with project teams to incorporate testing and commissioning activities into overall project plans.
- Assist in preparing project documentation, including test reports, commissioning plans, and equipment manuals.
- Provide technical support to project engineers and field technicians during installation and commissioning phases.
- Coordinate with the factory to ensure alignment on testing requirements and schedules.
- Participate in project meetings and effectively communicate with stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in testing and commissioning power generator preferred.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electrical testing and commissioning (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NEC).
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and capacity to analyze complex electrical systems.
- Experience in project management or coordination is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- This position may require travel to project sites or customer locations, both locally and internationally as needed.
