Finance Executive – Trade Spend & Claims (SAP | FMCG)
Location: Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Salary: RM5,000 – RM6,000 per month
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Executive – Trade Spend & Claims to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating distributor/customer claims, ensuring accurate trade spend reconciliation, and supporting month-end financial reporting.
You will work closely with the Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance, and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure promotional claims are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and validate distributor/customer trade claims, including promotional invoices, credit notes, and deductions.
- Review supporting documents to ensure claims comply with company policies and commercial agreements.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with internal stakeholders.
- Reconcile Trade Spend balances between SAP and internal tracking files.
- Monitor promotional expenses, accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation reports and variance analysis.
- Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance finance operations and claim processing efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Finance, Commercial Finance, Trade Spend, Accounts Receivable, or Financial Analysis.
- Experience using SAP for data extraction and reconciliation.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP (Power Query is an advantage).
- Experience in the FMCG industry is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
