We are looking for a Utilities Strategy Consultant to join our growing consulting practice, supporting utilities clients through business transformation, energy transition, and strategic change.
This role is ideal for a strategy consultant with strong analytical discipline, structured problem-solving skills, and an interest in developing deep utilities sector expertise.
About the Role
As a Utilities Strategy Consultant, you will support and lead workstreams across utilities strategy engagements. You will help clients define investment priorities, develop transformation business cases, design operating models, build capability roadmaps, and translate complex industry challenges into practical recommendations.
You will work across topics such as grid modernization, intelligent asset management, energy retail, smart metering, enterprise asset management, digital utility platforms, renewables, storage, and broader energy transition initiatives.
The successful candidate will bring a strong foundation in core strategy consulting skills, including business case development, quantitative analysis, market and competitor research, financial modeling, executive-ready communication, and the ability to structure ambiguous client questions into clear workplans and recommendations.

Utilities Experience That Will Differentiate You
Relevant utilities sector experience will be an advantage, especially in one or more of the following areas:
Grid Modernization and Network of the Future
Experience or exposure to transmission and distribution strategy, DERMS, smart grid, grid flexibility, AMI, network planning, grid investment prioritization, or interconnection policy.
Intelligent Asset Management
Experience with Asset Performance Management, Digital Twin use cases, Enterprise Asset Management platforms such as IBM Maximo or SAP EAM, predictive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance, asset lifecycle strategy, or total-cost-of-ownership modeling.
Energy Retail and Customer Transformation
Experience with CIS, billing, meter-to-cash, SAP IS-U, Oracle Utilities, customer operations, digital channels, or retail operating model transformation.
Smart Metering, AMI, and Utility Data
Exposure to smart meter rollout, meter data management, operational analytics, billing data quality, consumption analytics, or utility data governance.
Renewables, Storage, and Energy Transition
Experience with solar, battery energy storage systems, distributed energy resources, electric vehicles, hydrogen, decarbonization strategy, net zero roadmaps, or energy transition investment planning.
Operating Model and Capability Transformation
Experience designing target operating models, capability maps, process redesign, governance models, workforce implications, or transformation roadmaps for asset-intensive or regulated organizations.
Regulated Utilities Environment
Understanding of regulatory frameworks, public sector interfaces, tariff considerations, market rules, investment justification, or compliance-driven transformation.
