Vice President - Reinsurance Treaty Broking

  • The VP Broker works as the key contact person for the assigned clients, providing the client the necessary solutions.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities for various assigned clients in collaboration with the wider team.
  • Responsible to develop and deliver business development plans on assigned clients.
  • Interact and collaborate with diverse colleagues and various stakeholders from various Guy Carpenter's offices in Asia Pacific.

We will count on you to:

  • Develop and present innovative solutions for client needs and complex risk situations.
  • Advise clients and negotiate transactions to drive revenue growth and expand the client broking base.
  • Identify and pursue potential opportunities to win new clients and projects, contributing to overall revenue growth.
  • Coordinate responses to client queries and concerns, ensuring prompt and complete resolution.
  • Independently handle complex assignments and provide support to senior-level Brokers and senior leadership in Broking and/or Practice Management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers/reinsurers, clients, and colleagues to drive high client satisfaction at senior levels.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of coverage lines, markets, and specialized products to provide highly innovative solutions to clients.
  • Inspect and clarify contract documents, bond forms, and banking terms and conditions as required.
  • Advise clients on the terms and conditions of General Agreement of Indemnity required to support surety transactions.
  • Inspect financial statements for various industries, possessing specific knowledge of each industry's unique financial metrics.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • 10 -15 years related experience with the ability to deal with moderately complex accounts and mid-sized generating clients from diverse industries.
  • Good knowledge of the treaty reinsurance business
  • Interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining good client, reinsurer and internal relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills for complex communications (presentations, negotiations, etc.) with clients, markets and GC colleagues at many levels.
  • Ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.
  • Creativity to solve new problems, as they arise.
  • Understanding of clients business.
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team to support clients needs.
