As Head of Talent Development & Engagement, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Corporation's talent agenda by developing future leaders, strengthening organisational capability, and fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce to support CGC's mission of empowering Malaysian SMEs.
Job Responsibilities
A) Strategic
- Develop and drive the Corporation's Talent Development & Engagement strategy, ensuring alignment with CGC's strategic priorities, workforce requirements and future capability needs.
- Establish and continuously enhance the Corporation's Talent Management Framework, including succession planning, talent readiness, leadership development and competency management.
- Lead enterprise-wide capability building strategies to strengthen organisational capability, leadership pipeline and workforce readiness for current and future business needs.
- Drive employee engagement and organisational culture initiatives that enhance employee experience, strengthen organisational commitment and support a high-performance culture.
- Provide strategic advice and insights to Senior Management on talent development, workforce capability and engagement matters through data-driven analysis and talent analytics.
- Build strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders, professional institutions and external learning partners to strengthen organisational capability and promote continuous learning.
B) Functional
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of corporate learning, leadership development and capability building programmes, ensuring alignment with business priorities and competency requirements.
- Oversee enterprise-wide learning needs analysis, annual learning plans and competency mapping to ensure effective workforce capability development.
- Lead the implementation of Talent Council, succession review and talent calibration exercises, providing governance and recommendations to support talent decisions.
- Oversee professional certification, coaching, mentoring, Individual Development Plan (IDP) and career development initiatives to strengthen employee growth and leadership readiness.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of talent development, learning and engagement initiatives through appropriate performance indicators, analytics and continuous improvement measures.
- Lead, coach and develop the Talent Development & Engagement team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing and customer-centric work environment while ensuring effective delivery of departmental objectives.
Job Requirements
- Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organisational Development or a related discipline. A Master's Degree and/or relevant professional certification would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of working experience in HR, with proven experience in talent development, leadership development, succession planning and employee engagement.
- Comprehensive knowledge of talent development, leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement and contemporary HR practices.
- Strong strategic leadership, business partnering, stakeholder management and change management capabilities, supported by excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills.
- Proficient in HR digital platforms, demonstrates a continuous learning mindset and commitment to professional development.
