Job Purpose
Supply Chain Financing plays a critical role in supporting the execution of the SCF strategy through cross-initiative coordination and senior subject matter expertise. The role is responsible for integrating delivery across initiatives, resolving complex interdependencies, and providing senior advisory guidance to support effective execution, risk management, and stakeholder outcomes.
Job Descriptions
Cross-Initiative Integration & Alignment
- Provide coordination and integration across multiple SCF initiatives and portfolios to ensure consistency and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Identify interdependencies, delivery conflicts, and prioritization issues, and propose resolution options to Head, FIG & SCF.
- Promote consistent application of SCF operating model standards, controls, and delivery disciplines.
Senior Execution Guidance & Issue Resolution
- Function as an escalation point for complex delivery, stakeholder, or risk issues that cut across multiple initiatives.
- Review and challenge major initiative proposals, solution designs, and implementation approaches.
- Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvements across SCF initiatives.
Cost Management
- Manage departmental expenses to ensure cost control and budget adherence.
- Optimize resource utilization and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Monitor financial performance and support reporting requirements.
Senior Risk & Control Oversight
- Promote a strong risk and control culture across SCF initiatives.
- Review material risk issues, audit findings, and remediation plans prior to escalation.
- Support regulatory engagements, internal governance forums, and management discussions as required.
Senior Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Participate in senior-level client discussions and complex SCF solutioning engagements.
- Represent the SCF function in internal forums requiring senior judgment and integration.
Product Development & Enhancement
- Oversee rollout/enhancement of SCF products (e.g., payables, receivables, distributor, inventory finance) across initiatives.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, commercially viable, operationally sound, and compliant.
Strategic Contribution
- Provide market insights, product expertise, and client feedback to support SCF strategy.
- Align SCF initiatives with the bank's broader objectives and long-term growth plans.
Mentoring & Professional Standards
- Provide mentoring and coaching to VP2s and Senior Managers to support capability development and quality delivery.
- Set expectations for professionalism, collaboration, and delivery quality across the SCF team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 13 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Finance, Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, or related roles.
- Strong judgement, stakeholder influence, and ability to operate effectively across complex, cross-functional environments.
- Professional certifications such as CSCF, CITF, or equivalent are an advantage; familiarity with ESG-linked or sustainable financing is a plus.
