Job Description

Job Summary:**

Lead and motivate a team within United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd to achieve operational excellence, meet customer expectations, and contribute to the bank's overall success. This role involves overseeing daily team activities, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of [Specify number or type of team members, e.g., 5-8 customer service representatives, 3-5 operations specialists] to enhance their performance and career growth.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor workload, and ensure timely completion of team objectives and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs for team members.
  • Act as a primary point of escalation for complex customer inquiries, operational issues, or disputes, ensuring effective resolution.
  • Implement and enforce bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements within the team.
  • Monitor team productivity and service quality, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present team performance reports to management, highlighting achievements and challenges.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  • Participate in recruitment and onboarding processes for new team members.

Job Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve targets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operational processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant banking regulations and compliance requirements in Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
