Senior Project Manager - Power BI

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in Azure Power BI to lead and manage data-driven projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of business intelligence and analytics, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills to drive project success and foster collaboration among cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle for Azure Power BI implementations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop detailed project plans.
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
Facilitate project meetings, providing updates on progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and best practices.
Continuously evaluate project performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Mandatory Skills

Strong expertise in Azure Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and report/dashboard creation.
Proven experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake).
Familiarity with data visualization best practices and user experience design.
Knowledge of other BI tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on data analytics and business intelligence.
Demonstrated success in managing complex projects with cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
