Work you will do

Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (SR&T) - Regulatory & Financial Risk practice in Southeast Asia. We provide risk transformation, data and modeling solutions focusing on some of the unique and complex issues our clients are facing in finance. Advise our clients how to optimize compliance programs, standardize processes and transform compliance to protect their value across the business, while building great visibility, efficiency and confidence for the future.

You will work alongside our clients to bring a rigorous, evidence based analytical capability to help them solve pressing and complex issues. This includes revealing insight and delivering value through pragmatic and actionable recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identifying opportunities and develop solutions across the whole organization.

The nature of the work we do includes:

Cultivate and manage executive and board-level partnerships, driving business growth by identifying opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and positioning the firm as a trusted advisor in financial risk management and regulatory compliance.
Lead strategic partnerships, providing innovative solutions to complex financial risk management and regulatory compliance challenges.
Champion and maintain quality standards across engagements, ensuring robust validation, governance, and operational excellence.
Act as the firm's leading authority on regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel, IFRS9, Liquidity, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Banking Regulations) and risk methodologies, while directing and overseeing the innovation and continuous advancement of quantitative modeling practices, governance frameworks, and analytical capabilities.
Promote robust global and regional collaboration, leveraging internal and external expertise to maintain thought leadership and delivery excellence.
Oversee large-scale, high-impact projects, managing resources, risks, and deliverables to drive exceptional outcomes.
Direct strategic talent initiatives, attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional professionals to build a high-performing and future-ready practice.
Represent and promote the firm as a thought leader, actively participating in and contributing to industry forums, conferences, publications, and executive networks.

Requirements

Possesses a degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Accountancy, Risk Management, or a related field a Master's degree or equivalent is strongly preferred.
Holds a professional certification such as FRM, PRM, CFA, or an equivalent credential.
Minimum of 12 years of extensive professional experience in financial services, banking, or consultancy, demonstrating senior-level leadership in financial risk management.
Proven expertise across multiple critical risk domains, including Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Liquidity Risk, and Emerging Risk and Regulations.
Expert-level proficiency in strategic analytics, quantitative modeling, and advanced statistical tools such as Python, SAS, and R, with experience in visualization software (Power BI, Tableau) and financial technology platforms preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, transformational projects and high-performing multidisciplinary teams in complex, multi-stakeholder, international environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with high attention to detail and a meticulous work approach.
Ability to work efficiently against demanding timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking abilities, with fluency in professional-level English.
Excellent collaboration, adaptability, and relationship management skills, with a strong ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
High-performing, coachable team player who prioritizes continuous development, puts clients first, and exemplifies a values-driven mindset.
