Kayangan Holdings Sdn Bhd is hiring a Sales Designer for KL Living, our premium interior design & build brand (full turnkey renovation, custom fabrication). This is a sales-driven role: you generate revenue by engaging clients and converting leads into confirmed interior projects.

You will manage the sales process from lead generation to project handover, reporting directly to the Managing Director (Creative Director). This is not a technical design role - detailed design, drawings, and execution are handled by the design and project team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

CLIENT CONSULTATION & SALES (PRIMARY)

• Attend to walk-in clients, online enquiries, and leads professionally

• Understand client requirements, lifestyle needs, and budget

• Present suitable design ideas and guide clients toward decision-making

• Manage sales pipeline from inquiry to closing with strong follow-up

• Prepare simple moodboards, references, and visual direction for presentations

• Lead client presentation sessions with design team support

• Negotiate and close deals to achieve individual and team sales targets

• Generate new leads through active outreach, networking, and referrals

PROJECT COORDINATION (CLIENT MANAGEMENT ONLY)

• Coordinate with design, operations, and installation teams

• Conduct site visits and client meetings when required

• Ensure smooth handover and communication between client and internal team

• Build and maintain long-term client relationships

REPORTING

• Weekly sales and pipeline reports to MD (leads, follow-ups, conversion status)

• Accurate records of client interactions and project status

• Lead source stated on every quotation (company-sourced vs. self-sourced)

REQUIREMENTS:

HARD REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE)

• At least 2 years of proven sales experience (ID / event industry preferred)

• Strong sales mindset with ability to convert leads into confirmed projects

• Basic knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp) for viewing and understanding drawings

• Ability to read technical drawings and understand renovation workflow

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Bilingual: fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia

• Own transport; willing to travel for site visits and work on weekends

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field

STRONG PLUS

• Sales experience in interior design, renovation, or event industry

• Existing client network in the property / renovation market

• Strategic thinking in sales and basic marketing execution

• Track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets

• Fresh graduates with strong design understanding may be considered
